An interesting piece on TCW, the first of four. I’ve posted the following comments:

“Thanks Rick. I can recommend the book that Helen Andrews cites in her talk, The Great Feminization: Women as Drivers of Modern Social Change (2022) by J Stone (about whom nothing is known).

A month ago Conrad Riker published The Great Feminization: Wokeness An Epiphenomenon Of Female Supremacy, Capture Of Institutions, & Marxist Satanic Inversions Of Merit To DEI which I have yet to read.

“I despair. Not only four day week for schools but a 32 hour week for the same pay as a five day week. A profession steadily becomes female dominated and stage by stage it becomes less and less productive. As we can see in GP services where part time work is practically the norm.

In education we’ll see even more inconsistent education as they “cover” and have supply teachers filling in as teachers enjoy a pay rise with less actual work and better “work life balance”. Add in the huge army of teaching assistants etc. which simply didn’t exist 20 years ago and yet another public service is run for the convenience of its workers rather than the people who its supposed to serve, in this case pupils and their education.

As it is many teachers are part time and schools do accommodate request for part time work. At least they don’t have to pay full time salaries. All this at a time when the nation desperately needs to get real and up its productivity to climb out of debt and stagnation.”

Mike Buchanan, Steve Moxon and Dr Catherine Hakim (the originator of Preference Theory) presented evidence to House of Commons and House of Lords inquiries in 2012, the video of their House of Commons evidence session is here (56:50).

Give me strength. An article by two female Welsh ‘journalists’ at the BBC about whiny female entrepreneurs in Wales. It’s basically a whinefest about women facing exactly the same challenges as male entreprenurs in Wales, and no gratitude for taxpayer-funded (i.e. mainly male taxpayer-funded) support. The end of the article takes up the remainder of this blog piece:

A spokesperson for the UK government said it was “putting women at the heart of its grown agenda to make the UK the best place for women-led businesses by tackling barriers and unlocking opportunities for them”. [J4MB: As always, the ‘barriers’ and ‘opportunities’ are unspecified.]

“The Invest in Women Taskforce has secured over £500m in funding for women-led businesses over the past 12 months and investment in female entrepreneurs began in August this year,” they said. [J4MB translation: “investment in” means “money pissed away on”.]

The Welsh government said since May 2021, Business Wales had supported 2,301 start-ups led by women [J4MB translation: “supported” means “money pissed away on”.] which is “56% of all start-ups supported”.

“The Development Bank for Wales supports female entrepreneurs via many projects, including the Women Angel of Wales syndicate which increases the activity of female angel investors” they added.
