Alexis Von Yates, 34, Florida nurse, accused of sex with 15-year-old stepson after Dad walked in on them

Our thanks to Sue for this. An extract:

After the alleged abuse began, the affidavit states the suspect said, “Ah man, I wish you were 18, because you’re not old enough,” before continuing to have sex on the couch. [J4MB: Clearly, a woman with high moral standards.]

When the child’s father walked in on them and confronted the suspect, the suspect said, according to the affidavit, that his son looked just like him “when he was younger.” [J4MB: So this is simply a case of mistaken identity? Drop the charges NOW!!!]

Debbie Thomas, 39, followed a vulnerable man home and left him seriously damaged

Appalling. Extracts:

“A woman followed a vulnerable man [J4MB: we are not informed in what way(s) he was “vulnerable”] home before forcing her way into his flat and attacking him, a court has heard. When the victim said told Debbie Thomas he would call the police, she threatened to make a false sexual allegation about him…

The court heard that once inside, Thomas subjected the man to a vicious assault which included throttling him with the strap of a rucksack. Thomas then helped herself to the man’s phone, medication, and some of his lager before making to leave…

The court heard the man did eventually report the attack and was subsequently taken to hospital where doctors found he had a partially collapsed lung and damage to his bowel as well as extensive bruising…

Debbie Thomas, of Rheidol Court, Rheidol Avenue, Clase, Swansea, had previously pleaded guilty to assault occasioning actual bodily harm and theft when she returned to court for sentencing. She has 37 previous convictions including for offences of violence and dishonesty… [J4MB emphasis.]

He [J4MB: the defending lawyer] said: “She accepts that the lifestyle she had been living in Swansea was only likely to being her into conflict with the criminal justice system. It can only be hoped that at the age of almost 40 this will be the last time she appears before the courts.” [J4MB emphasis.]

He said Thomas was extremely fortunate that the prosecution had not decided to pursue more serious charges [J4MB: Why not?] such as robbery, inflicting grievous bodily harm, or aggravated burglary, though he said he understood the prosecution’s stance given the vulnerabilities of the complainant and his reluctance to engage. [J4MB emphasis: The usual double standard. It would have been a very different matter if the victim had been a woman.]

With a 20 per cent discount her her (sic) guilty pleas Thomas was sentenced to 27 months in prison comprising 27 months for the actual bodily harm and 12 months for the theft to run concurrently. [J4MB: Concurrent sentences, just one of many ways to not hold women properly accountable.] The defendant will serve up to half the sentence in custody [J4MB: Note “up to” half i.e. probably less than half.] before being released on licence to serve the remainder in the community,
