Does anyone in the manosphere understand quantum mechanics? William Collins, maybe?

Our thanks to Tom for this (video, 1:05).

Does anyone really understand quantum mechanics? It’s doubtful, given that even Richard Feynman, the great American theoretical physicist, said he didn’t. I recall studying the subject during the first year of my chemistry degree in 1979/80, and being highly relieved to learn I didn’t have to study it thereafter. All the students who did go on to study it further were men with unusually large shiny pointy heads, I recall.

Does anyone in the manosphere understand quantum mechanics? I turned to William Collins (Rick Bradford) of The Illiustrated Empathy Gap who I happen to know secured a degree in physics at the University of Cambridge in… well, let’s be honest, not recently. He directed me to two of his international bestsellers which really should be in every MRA’s library – The Unweirding: not just another quantum mechanics text (2020) and Five Square Roots: the remarkable fecundity of impossible square roots (2023). You now have no reason to say you’re struggling to find the perfect Xmas presents for anyone…

Matt Goodwin: “I’m on BBC Question Time tonight.”

Interesting. Fiona Bruce chairs the show, and all the other three panelists are women. Gender balance is a fine thing. I’m sure Matt will do a great job despite the odds.

Michael Tracey: “Should we believe Virginia Giuffre? Prince Andrew’s accuser was not always reliable.”

An excellent piece just published by Unherd. Extracts:

“Furthermore, the Daily Mail, which first reported an encounter between Giuffre and Prince Andrew, paid Giuffre $160,000 for the story in 2011, plus serialisation revenue. The journalist who produced that story also wrote for The Daily Telegraph in Australia that Giuffre “said there was never any sexual relationship between the Prince and herself”.

“The unwavering credulity with which this book has been received by journalists, editors, publishers and politicians is a testament to how the most basic standards of information-gathering and knowledge-production can be summarily discarded in service of a narrative that people want to believe. For those of us who prefer to remain anchored in some semblance of sanity and reality: Virginia Roberts Giuffre was undoubtedly a disturbed individual, who may well have suffered grave misfortunes. But that her tales could be unquestioningly broadcast throughout the international media — and be allowed to stoke unrelenting political turmoil, even with talk of a constitutional crisis — is irresponsible in the extreme.”

Giuffere was a liar and a fantasist who became very rich from her lies and fantasies. I have seen no evidence to support her claim that she even met Prince Andrew. The media attacks on him should end and the millions of pounds she extorted from him returned.

Tories call for Reeves to quit after breaking home rental rules but Two-Tier Keir, ever the mangina, rules out investigation

Rachel from Accounts caught out. She should go, as Angela Rayner had to over property-related shenanigans. These female politicians make their male colleagues look like beacons of virtue.

UNITED STATES: Man goes to jail after grabbing and saving a woman about to cross the road and walk into the path of an oncoming car.

Our thanks to Alison Tieman for posting this (short video) on X. She writes:

So let me get this straight. This man is going to jail for saving a woman’s life because he ‘touched her without consent.’

The writing is on the wall gents. Women’s consent is more important than their lives.

Let them die.’

Remote working London GP Dr Jane Lim pretended she was working to get paid ‘while 100 patients waited for call’

Our thanks to Jeff for this. An extract:

“Dr Lim refuted that her actions were dishonest though did accept she was unreliable in regards to submitting and invoicing accurate hours.

According to the tribunal’s report Alan Taylor, legal counsel for the General Medical Council, claimed otherwise. He told the hearing that Dr Lim had been “receiving taxpayers’ money from the NHS for work she knew she had not done”. He further stated that the dishonesty was of a repeated and sustained nature covering 57 shifts over 41 days in a 15-month period.

Mr Taylor also stated that Dr Lim demonstrated a pattern of persistent, dishonest conduct over a significant period of time and that her actions plainly fell significantly short of what would be expected of a registered medical practitioner. He submitted that each act of dishonesty on its own would amount to serious professional misconduct but when taken together clearly amounted to serious professional misconduct.”

There’s no indication that the woman will be prosecuted for embezzling the NHS (and by extension the taxpayer).
