2018 marked 100 years since the Representation of the People Act 1918, which enfranchised 8 million British women and 5 million men. I debunked the ubiquitous revisionist history that was going around, thoroughly, by reading Simon Webb’s fascinating ‘The Suffragette Bombers – Britain’s Forgotten Terrorists‘. You may or may not remember I actually added it to a blog post detailing excellent Christmas presents for the red pilled receiver! It’s an incredibly well researched, engaging and eye-opening read that I recommend wholeheartedly, and very often, actually!

So… Imagine my delight when Tim sent me a link to a YouTube video (11:27) on the subject by the author (thank you, Tim!). Webb’s entire History Debunked channel looks to be filled with gems and I look forward to investigating a wide range of historic events and figures with his videos!

Friday 24th July 2020 saw protests against leaving the Istanbul Convention but the Polish government are determined to begin the formal process of leaving on Monday 27th July, with justice minister Zbigniew Ziobro expressing concern over the effects that elements of the treaty could have on children, assuring people that existing Polish legislation protects women from violence and arguing that the treaty  “contains elements of an ideological nature”.

An interesting article has been published in The American Conservative about the existence of Collectif Nemesis, right wing French identitarian feminists who fear that their nation is being taken over by misogynistic Islamists. Apparently, they broadly support the aims of the first and second waves of feminism and dispute the idea that women were disempowered before modern feminism, pointing to female historical icons to prove that women have a rich and varied herstory.

They are not modest like traditional conservatives, but tend to approve of nudity that celebrates the beauty of the female form.

They see abortion as a difficult decision, to be avoided, but not prohibited.

The author of the article rightly pointed out that their feminism is more consistent… But they’re still gynocentric, concentrating on the disproportionate number of sex attacks migrants perpetrate against women in France whilst their fathers and brothers face much grizzlier dangers.
