I wasn’t surprised by the Green’s win, though the margin did surprise. Gorton has rapidly changed over the past decade. Denton separated from Gorton by a country park, reservoirs and golf course and the M60, is a completely different place. The oddly named “family voting” has been common in Rochdale,Oldham, Longsight and other parts of GT Manchester in local elections. Rochdale, Oldham and Tameside are all in a right mess due to political infighting even gangsterism even within the Labour party as Clans deliver votes and expect favours in return. Both Labour and Galloway have used these clans to their electoral advantage and now that Greens have copied them. The introduction of photo ID to vote and indeed the prohibition by law of “family voting” went remarkably unnoticed by the MSM, strange given the furore over ID Cards for citizens. This was back in 2021 and followed on a series of cases of voting frauds including garnering postal votes, family voting and people pretending to be the person on the polling card. The danger is that the reliance on the “sectarian” vote leads to a rush to pander to a relatively small but well organised group, because no one needs bother too much about the majority electorate who tend to vote traditionally (a donkey could stand in a labour rosette and be elected ). Thus there are constituencies with other ethnic groups, but they are not so reliable a “bloc”. Sikhs, Hindus, West Africans, Chinese, Jews etc. in Britain’s second most populous city county almost as “diverse” as GT London. Yet in reality only the Muslim communities are pandered to and allowed to routinely flout laws so blatantly.
The moral bankruptcy has at least been exposed by the supposedly “progressive” and “oh so nice” feminist tree hugging party ( co leaders one male one female till Zack swung in from Circus school) supporting islamic jihad/revolution and genuine “Patriarchy”. In a way I’m glad Matt Goodwin has seen and experienced it. As he says it’s actually much worse than many believe ….. or admit.
