  1. What always surprises me is that in the US, with a commitment to equality in their constitution, directly discriminatory policies have been instituted and followed for years. Now much the same process is followed by public services and large private sector firms in the UK, often it seems in copying the US. And yet a great deal of it is completely unlawful and often directly illegal in this Country due to the Equality Act ! The key is that here in the UK “sex” (as the top court in the land recently reminded us) is the protected category. And this means male and female. Now of course in practice whole swathes of public services and major corporations take it to mean “female”, hence the actual effects are similar to the US. Yet there is a steady stream of cases where men prove the illegality of their employer perhaps most famously the RAF and a series of Police Forces. That there aren’t a flood of such cases represents the feminists’ success in keeping alive the “narrative” that the Law alows things it doesn’t and favours females only, which again it doesn’t.

The success and publicity about such cases is why these days we all talk about “misogyny” because its former incarnation was “sexism” which by a decade ago was increasingly used about discriminations against men too. And of course the very last thing the feminists’ wanted was the idea that one of their campaigning words was becoming a description of things that actually applied to ether sex. In a sense just the latest version of the like process whereby “Domestic Abuse” is constantly pushed to be only about female victims when all the evidence from the 70s onwards shows it is not true. Replacing “sexism” with “misogyny” brings it back to being only about females. However dangerously for men it means ramping up the idea of “hate” (the term being “hatred of women) and therefore weaponizing harassment, stalking, sexual assault, etc. rather than just discrimination. So rather than just “sexist” discrimination they’re are pushing the idea of criminality, “hate” that requires punishment and even imprisonment. At its most dangerous the referral of schoolboys to anti terrorist organisations for even statements of fact i.e. the “gender pay gap is in females favour until 30” or “women get lighter sentences following conviction” (this latter is even the stated policy of the Gov. !) as if these are visceral hate statements.
