Remarkable. A reminder that our prosperity is rooted in invention and innovation from lots of creative men who succeeded and failed too but followed through on their determination to figure out how to ……… Years ago I attended a lecture on the rapid economic growth of Hong Kong, Taiwan and Japan, by a Hong Kong industrialist. I recall his conclusion “we made your toys and earned the money to scale up”. Even the achievement of the “thrust” to replicate a “jet” engine to power such a model is a remarkable achievement. We waste such “geeky” masculine focus at great peril to out future. Camille Paglia’s “still be living in grass huts” comes to mind.
