An interesting piece (£) published 40 minutes ago by the Telegraph. Other mainstream media have yet to pick on the story, but they surely will soon. The paper reports that Starmer has pulled a House of Lords session on the Chagos Bill planned for next Monday, in the light of a 1966 agreement between the UK and the US. Ministers said in late December that the two nations were engaging in talks about updating the 1966 agreement in the light of the new Chagos deal but the talks have not been completed.
