The Police and CPS have targets to meet to increase the numbers of convictions. Not to serve justice or investigate thoroughly, but to produce more convictions. The irony is that the CPS was created because the Police had built cases rather than investigate “without fear or favour” to “get convictions”, the CPS to assure that cases were soundly based in law. Yet as wee saw in the scandals of 2018 both had connived to conceal evidence to build cases and convictions in 25% of sexual crime cases ….. and we are seeing it againbecase again the feminist lobby and MPs and the Labour Gov. have given a target to reverse the 25% reduction that followed that scandal 7 years ago. And to do it they’ll have to repeat the conniving in at least 25 % of cases. And so it will continue. Lammy’s special courts just adding to the injustice.
