90% of Female Streamers Panic as China May Ban Beauty Filters—Is This the End?

Our thanks to NIgel for this (video, 11:08). He writes:

“This caught my attention following Pearl’s video. As an extreme example of one of the features of “femininity” glossed over. Yet it’s everywhere on public display. Really the unreality of the feminine “world”. The world in their heads. The Beauty Filters being just the latest example of the addiction to fantasy. Once of course the feminists blamed “the patriarchy” for the idealised fantasy images of women in fashion magazines, romantic fiction, TV, “Rom Coms” and so on. With the archetypal dungaree clad “political lesbian” feminist denouncing make-up and “skinny models”.

But now with all such industries being filled by women, making content for women and being consumed in all conceivable media, it’s pretty clear this is what women want and how they understand their world. A world of fantasy and perfection that is completely remote from reality. Of course this has a knock on with females – far greater levels of anxiety, depression, confusion and misery, because if you can’t deal with reality it’s bound to make your life difficult to cope with. And if you’re actually in charge of something… a recipe for disaster.”
