One thought on “England win staggering two-day Test in Melbourne”
At last. Meanwhile the reporting on this “Battle of the Sexes” was funny This ‘Battle of the Sexes’ was completely unwatchable – we do not need it again | The Independent On the TV news they practically ignored the current match to go on about Billie Jean King 50 years ago. Presumably to remind us a woman won, once (there have been one or two similar events in the intervening years but of course in those the man won). Once again a top female loses to a less than top male player. In this repost and others there is counsel not to do any more because it detracts from “equality”. Of course we don’t need to see such things these days as the feminists, are only too keen to point out the “unfairness” of even hormone suppressed eunuchs competing with “top” women! The idea of physical sameness is well and truly dead. In sport though not of course in work such as the armed forces, fire, police. Now imagine the very different reporting had, like Billie Jean, Sabalenka won against a less than prime opponent. It would be trumpeted as a triumph rather than the “circus” claimed. And they say men have fragile egos.
