Our thanks to Graham for this.
He writes “Banker Damilare Ajao was jailed for 20 months and ordered to pay £150,000 after his sexual harassment claim against a female boss was found to be false, described by the judge as “wicked lies.”
By contrast, women’s claims are usually presumed true, with the law and workplace policies focusing on the victim’s perception. Even when later proven false, such claims rarely result in punishment. The case highlights a system that protects victims in a way that seemingly only works one way.”
