Our website Campaign for Merit in Business was created in the light of the considerable evidence of a causal link between increasing gender diversity on boards and corporate financial decline. Mike Buchanan, Steve Moxon and Dr Catherine Hakim (the originator of Preference Theory) presented evidence to House of Commons and House of Lords inquiries in 2012, the video of their House of Commons evidence session is here (56:50).

To be honest I did a bit of searching to check it wasn’t a spoof. It would be funny if it weren’t for the fact that all this sort of thing (eg. having a shortage of pilots because of illegal discrimination against white males) leaves the rest of us vulnerable to attack, from whatever quarter. Doing the rounds is some reporting of a 2022 report about the dysfunction in the Army, Navy and RAF due to the increasing % of females and the insistence on mixing. Whatever the discussion the net result is a documented reduction in teamwork and cohesion.
