  1. The new Foreign Secretary, Yvette Cooper, was expected in the House, to field questions regarding Mandelson’s dismissal, and the dismal level of scrutiny which had facilitated his appointment in the first place.

    Instead, she delegated this task to a male underling.

    Pathetic.
