Prostate cancer patients ignored five times before diagnosis

An interesting piece (£) in the Telegraph. Health Secretary Wes Streeting is supporting the paper’s campaign for a “targeted” national screening programme, aimed at men at higher risk of contracting the cancer. While appreciated, the two screening programmes for women’s cancers (breast and cervical) aren’t “targeted”.

cp comments inspired by the latest Law Commission report

Yesterday we published Empowering the Innocent: Publication of the Law Commission’s ‘final piece of the rape review’ “. Our thanks to cp for these comments:

“In Scotland, a jurisprudence ‘guided’ by Lady Dorrian and Dorothy Bain KC, successfully eliminated the need for corroborating evidence…. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c977d35l7mjo

…and attempted to have rape trials decided by ‘trauma-informed’ judges, rather than jury. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-59151540

These women aren’t interested in justice. They want judgement against men, and they want to be in charge of the process. It’s only a matter of time before this pervades the entire UK. Operation Soteria Bluestone is in full swing. https://www.npcc.police.uk/our-work/violence-against-women-and-girls/operation-soteria/

Sir Stephen House (who probably has some experience in such matters) was summarily dismissed from the ‘operation’ for daring to suggest that allegations of rape might not be all that they appear, and women might have ulterior motives for telling porkies. In doing so, he upset ‘Professor’ Betsy Stanko who is really running the show. In a model of professional behaviour, Professor Stanko dealt with this betrayal of the desired narrative by taking her grievances to Cathy Newman on Channel 4 News. As you do…. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-64815863

As far back as 2006, it was well known, from a range of meta studies, that false allegation of rape was probably around 11% minimum, and could be as high as 47%. https://www.jstor.org/stable/4509177 [J4MB: William Collins estimated in The Empathy Gap that 77% of rape allegations made to the police in the UK were false, drawing solely upon government statistics.]

Yet, despite this, in 2012, our then Director of Public Prosecutions, Keir Starmer, co-authors the Levitt Report, with Alison Levitt QC. This execrable document claims that men have little to worry about, as the rate of false accusation is 0.6%. In doing so, these lawyers have weaponised the failings of the DPP to tackle false accusation. The figure of 0.6% represents the percentage of women who will find themselves in the dock, facing charges of perjury, or wasting police time.

Starmer has always found it beneficial to his career to cow-tow to the feminist cause. Hasn’t he done well..? Now he is a mouthpiece to a feminist cabinet. King of reprehensible and poisonous Toads.

Here’s what men have to worry about from false accusation. Loss of employment. Loss of liberty. Suicide. Suicide of the mother of the falsely accused… http://empathygap.uk/Rape%20Case%20Histories%20modified%2017_8_20.pdf

Who, in the mid-20th Century would ever have predicted that Enlightenment values would be going backwards as the mid-21st Century approached? Yet, here we are. There must be an underlying reason for this…”
