Schrödinger’s Feminism in action: Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ ex-aide says she was ‘brainwashed’ when she sent loving texts years after rape

Interesting. The start of the piece:

A former personal assistant to Sean “Diddy” Combs who says he raped her testified Monday that she continued sending him loving text messages for years after her job ended in 2017 because she was “brainwashed.”

[End of extract.]

I’m inevitably reminded of Schrödinger’s Feminism:

“A woman is simultaneously a victim and empowered, until something happens. Then she chooses which state benefits her the most.”

Wedding guest Jayden O’Neill, 28, who drunkenly attacked a woman and a man with a glass, is spared jail so she can still go on HOLIDAY

Our thanks to Jeff for this (Mail, £). The same story in The Sun without a paywall, here. Extracts from The Sun:

“A MUM-of-two has been spared jail after viciously attacking a woman on the dance floor at a wedding.

Jayden O’Neill, 28, left one guest drenched in blood and another with a head wound after a violent meltdown at a swanky venue in Canterbury, Kent…

However, despite the judge declaring the wedding was “ruined” and the violence worthy of a prison sentence, O’Neill walked free from Canterbury Crown Court this week.

Instead, she was handed a suspended 20-month sentence, sparing her jail time so she could continue to care for her two children.”

Justin Trottier, Founder of National Men and Boys Charity, To Be Honoured with King Charles III Coronation Medal

I gave a talk at ICMI19 in Chicago and Justin Trottier was in a panel discussion which is on our YouTube channel, Men in Need: The State of Services for Men (video, 43:08). His first contribution starts at 3:10.

Some wonderful news. I’ve just received a press release with this content, which takes up the remainder of this blog piece:

MEDIA ADVISORY – FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Founder of National Men and Boys Charity To Be Honoured with King Charles III Coronation Medal

Justin Trottier’s Canadian Centre for Men and Families serves thousands of neglected families and is responsible for a profound shift in Canadian attitudes towards men and boys

TORONTO, ON — (June 2, 2025) In recognition of his pioneering work establishing Canada’s first national charity for boys and men, Justin Trottier, the Founder and Executive Director of the Canadian Centre for Men and Families (CCMF), will receive a King Charles III Coronation Medal from the Governor General of Canada on June 9th, 2025 at a ceremony to be held in the Senate Chamber.

Senator Patrick Brazeau, a tireless champion for suicide prevention and mental health promotion, nominated Justin Trottier for the award in recognition of his pioneering leadership.

Senator Brazeau praised his wide-reaching impact, stating ”the mental wellbeing of Canadian boys and men has gone ignored for far too long. Justin Trottier’s remarkable leadership in this area inspires us all to up our game in support of the boys and men in our lives.”

The commemorative Coronation Medal recognizes Canadians who have made a profound and lasting contribution to their country.

Over the last two decades, a profound transformation has been building, with men’s issues going from marginal, and even attacked in some quarters, to becoming a mainstream part of our social and community services landscape. CCMF now works closely with academics, governments, police, hospitals and community agency partners.

Valued for its success in reaching a population notoriously difficult to engage in help-seeking, CCMF is regularly called on to assist in setting up new services for boys and men across Canada and around the world.

“We are so proud of Justin,” said Edward Sullivan, Chairman of the Board at CCMF. “If CCMF emerged, against all odds and a good deal of opposition, to become Canada’s leading voice for boys and men, it is largely thanks to Justin’s energy, passion and steady leadership,” said Sullivan.

“This great honour is not about me but about the life and death issues that are finally getting the attention they deserve,” said Trottier.

“To have the opportunity to transform many lives and to build lasting institutions to continue this work, that is the greatest reward. CCMF just celebrated its 10 year anniversary. This unexpected and exhilarating honour energizes me to redouble my efforts for boys and men.”

The Canadian Centre for Men and Families is a men’s health and social service charity that works to reduce male suicide, strengthen the father-child relationship, and help men heal from abuse and trauma. The agency also opened two of Canada’s first emergency shelters for fathers and children fleeing domestic abuse.

Orbán and Le Pen cheer Karol Nawrocki’s election as Polish president, congratulating conservative nationalist candidate as result deals blow to Donald Tusk’s pro-EU agenda

Good news. Needless to say, The Guardian refers to all of the leaders as “far right”. An extract:

“While the presidential role is largely ceremonial, it has some influence over foreign and defence policy, as well as the critical power to veto new laws. This can only be overturned with a 60% majority in parliament, which Tusk’s coalition does not have.

Nawrocki’s veto means it will be hard for the prime minister to pass big changes before the next elections in 2027.”
