  1. It’s over a decade ago now that I had an acquaintance who was a procurement professional for the Home office prisons division. Following on from a report that found the existing DV treatment programmes in Prisons were completely ineffective ( Duluth model). The model to replace it was to focus on the risk factors (as described in this press release). I bumped into him a little later and asked what happened? He said that because the tenders were on a huge scale covering numbers of prisons only the existing providers had made credible bids, these had simply changed some terminology in their courses and programmes.

  3. So apart from one or two small programmes ( from the exllent work by Dr. Graham-Kevan in Lancashire) the Duluth model providers are still in situ having changed a few words.But not their attitudes!
