  1. “dyslexic and suffers from a variety of health issues, including chronic fatigue syndrome, migraine, fibromyalgia, depression, anxiety, insomnia, PTSD, and adjustment disorder [and] also has long Covid”.

This is all too familiar to me. In both the NHS and Local Authorities there is a huge number of these, middle aged women with a startling number of “problems” which mean they are rarely actually at work and do very little when present. One of the results of letting girls and women get away with things so long as they do the equivalent of scream and scream and make themselves sick. Its not that some men might be malingerers but women appear adept at collecting an improbably huge list of ailments and even appear to compete to build the biggest list ! Even more bizarre is that everyone will know they are “taking the piss” and wonder why they do it. To me, being a behaviourist, the answer was obvious ; because it works! You get to have long periods off work , “light duties” and flexible starts and finish when in work. No wonder youngsters of both sexes have cottoned on to this. The picture of Sharon got me going, overweight, dark glasses, “wheely bag”, walking stick and ready to be offended expression. Like a uniform for the type.

Her sister will lose; slim, purposeful, business owner. Not going to get the sympathy vote one can see the Judge giving in to the cry bully.
