The video recording session with the high-profile British businesswoman Karren Brady lasted over two hours. She was utterly livid throughout, amusingly. Less than four minutes of the discussion made it into the final 65-minute-long programme (26:57 – 30:33). I must have spent at least half an hour trying (but failing) to get her to understand (in the context of the well-established causal link between greater gender diversity on boards and corporate financial decline) that correlation does not imply causation.
I knew infinitely more about the issue of the sexes in the workplace than Brady, possibly the most ignorant and arrogant high-profile feminist I’ve ever met, including Caroline Criado Perez who – in a live TV interview for This Morning, sat next to me – laughed and admitted cheerily that she’d won a J4MB “Lying Feminist of the Month” award because she’d lied. Phillip Schofield was lost for words. She won the award three times over 2014/15, links to the award winners and their certificates here.
The Channnel 5 video footage from my discussion with Karren Brady is in the programme, which should be (but isn’t) accessible by people in the UK and people with a VPN choosing a UK server clicking on this link Why Do Men Earn More Than Women? It’s necessary to sign in or register, which I’ve just done with one of my email addresses, I couldn’t get the video to play. My audio commentary on the interview is here (1:30).
