Interesting (Times, £). In the quarter-final Whitaker (an American) answered eight out of nine starter-for-ten questions correctly. He answered many more questions than his three (glum-looking, probably feminist) female teammates combined. I’d like to see him compete alone against 10 women. He’d surely win by a very large margin.

I’m reminded of a post we published in 2018, University Challenge final: A team captained by Sophie Walker (Leader, Wimmin’s Equality Party) loses 240 – 0 to a team captained by Katy Brand (comedienne).
