  1. Well I hope they do. Making me happy today is this Hepi report wants schools to be more ‘boy-positive’ to fix education gender gap, toxic masculinity | The Independent Also reported in the Telegraph, though in that they had to reference the beelzebub Andrew Tate. This report is altogether more measured pointing out there is a “gender gap” in attainment, that it would help to have more male teachers and its a good idea to have a minister for boys and men to bring some focus to the various “gender gaps” that negatively affect males. Now the current “uniparty” have shown little interest in this sort of thing so maybe Reform might adopt such fairly modest reforms in their manifesto Costing little but at least such things as letting parent know what is being taught about “toxic masculinity” , addressing the attainment gaps that begin really early on and widen throughout education and pointing out that there are many subjects and occupations that are “female dominated” with a no doubt tiny Gov. office at least collating the data on male health, victims of crime, health gaps, and so on and publishing such on IMD. Would be a step forward from the current suppression of the facts. Good to see Mary Curnock-Cook has lost non of her zeal in taking on the education “blob” about its total failure to to their best to help every boy reach their potential.

    • Just to add on education. I’m sorry, but ADHD has become a scam that is wildly overdiagnosed and an excuse for poor behaviour | The Standard In my experience, having my staff work in an inner city high school initially helping a vocational course to pupils and then training the teachers in positive behaviour management. The problem isn’t even the pupils poor behaviour, but the teachers inability to manage poor behaviour. From a “Challenging Behaviour Team” my staff were able to share some pretty basic behavioural management techniques with the teachers whose teacher training seems not to have covered such things. The results in terms of classroom control and “challenging” pupils were excellent. I’m convinced that for may boys and some girls the absence of the skills or willingness to manage behaviour is behind the explosion in “diagnoses” of ADHD in our schools. Another “gender education gap” that could be dealt with by better teaching education.
