Following on from the last post, I’ve also posted the following comments on Matt Goodwin’s article:

I’d like to add three:

“The new government is committed to gender equality. Every initiative which is aimed at advantaging women and girls over men and boys will be defunded and closed down. The criminal justice system will be made gender-blind. Accordingly the government faces a choice between closing many men’s prisons, or building many new women’s prisons.”

“The new government will do all in its power to eliminate the male disadvantages outlined in William Collins’s book “The Empathy Gap: Male Disadvantages and the Mechanisms of Their Neglect”.

“The new government will legislate to stop non-therapeutic male circumcision (Male Genital Mutilation) by enforcing the provisions of the Offences Against the Person Act 1861. The minimum penalty for carrying out non-therapeutic male circumcision will be a custodial sentence of 20 years, with no possibility of remission.”

MAGA – “Make Albion Great Again”. Albion is, of course, an alternative name for the island of Great Britain https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Albion i.e. the UK minus Northern Ireland. OK, then, maybe MAGINA “Make Albion Great (& Ireland, Northern) Again”? [J4MB: In the comments stream a man complained about this suggestion, because it rhymes with “vagina”. You couldn’t make it up…].

Just Googled “Make Albion Great Again” to discover someone else thought of it first. Gutted.

A government press release published yesterday.

Only 5 per cent of prisoners in the UK are women. Lord Chancellor and Justice Secretary, Shabana Mahmood, said, “The simple truth is that we are sending too many women to prison.” There is no suggestion that too many men are being sent to prison.

The press release makes a point of the self-harming rate being higher among female prisoners than male prisoners. No mention of the fact that as male prisoners outnumber female prisoners about 20:1, more men than women self-harm.
