Head teacher Nicola Brogan, who called child ‘a fat slug’, avoids ban

Our thanks to Jim for this on the BBC. An extract:

” “There was significant evidence that the behaviour had a “seriously negative impact on the working environment of the school”, it found.

The panel’s report said Mrs Brogan’s actions amounted to unacceptable professional conduct, but not recommending a prohibition order was a “proportionate” response because vagina. [J4MB: We may have added a couple of (implied) words there.]

In its ruling on behalf of the Education Secretary, the panel said it was led to believe that Mrs Brogan had worked for many years at the school without complaints prior to the allegations, which came to light in November 2019. [J4MB: A snappy investigation, five years after the event.]”

For lots more ripe terms used by Brogan to decribe pupils, teachers, and a parent, check out a piece in The Times (£).
