Enjoy. A “problem” created by allowing a woman to hold the position of chancellor, but hopefully not for long. The economy has been tanking under her watch, what are the chances? From her Wikipedia page:
“In October 2023, Reeves’ book The Women Who Made Modern Economics was published. The Guardian said the book contained “something much more like the outlines of a coherent political project … than Labour is sometimes credited with”. The Financial Times reported that the book “lifted” content from Wikipedia, The Guardian and other sources, identifying over twenty examples of apparent plagiarism [J4MB translation – plagiarism] in the book, including entire paragraphs. Reeves told BBC News that some sentences “were not properly referenced” and this would be corrected in future reprints.”

Of course it will all be someone else’s fault, the economy tanking that is. A good example of the frequently successful invocation of “poor me” shown by this in today’s Telegraph Paula Vennells’ media portrayal ‘is skewing witnesses’ in Horizon inquiry Picture of distressed Vennells and a line that somehow she was kept in the dark by her underlings. No one will dare assert that as CEO it was her job to be on top of critical parts of the business, rather than just presiding over the easy stuff, and leaving the tough stuff to minions.
