To be fair this game pre-dates feminism. Every lad will have observed the girls playing “sassy” sometimes and the damsel in distress when it suits. One can see it in the previous story of Sarah Scott the usual generosity towards someone who is known to have repeatedly stalked and threatened previous ex partners, yet is given a derisory punishment. In such a way that a male repeat offender would not be so indulged.
