An excellent piece by Michael Shermer for Quillette, to which I’ve long subscribed. People who enjoy the article will surely also enjoy an article published by William Collins (a Cambridge university-educated physicist, later an engineer) some years ago, Goodbye New Scientist.

Of course there are dangers of mixing ANY facts with ideology, and I shall be commenting as such on the Quillette piece.
