Mandatory paternity testing at birth – at last!!!

Our thanks to Paolo for this wonderful news from Tennessee. We’ve been calling for mandatory paternity testing at birth since we launched as a political party in 2013.

  1. Making it mandatory is so important as it then becomes a routine rather than the possible father has to ask, and in doing so looks “ungentlemanly” and becomes the baddie. In a society in which both sexes are encouraged to be promiscuous it is plainly untenable to continue the fiction that women are paragons of virtue. Of course the problem is that the “state” has a real incentive not to do this because the likely result will be even more “single mothers” reliant on the taxpayer. As one commentator put it “married to the state”. There are too many interests lined up to want someone named as father for the purposes of paying for the child and in fact the mother too, for this perfectly simple thing to be done.

  2. Reuters Fact Check is claiming that as of September of 2023 there is no state or federal legislation in the United States to compel a mandatory paternity test. Do you have more recent information on this issue? Apparently there are “stories” circulating on the web about mandatory paternity tests. Also, I found a positive article on the subject on the web-site of the Canadian Children’s Civil Rights Council. Is this a bogus site?

    We need some clarification.

  3. THanks Bob. Let me know by email if you can’t track Carnell down, I may have his email address somewhere. He’s spoken at two or three International Conferences on Men’s Issues, most memorably Detroit in 14.
