  1. “Thankfully my husband decided not to come after my savings and pension”. So in fact she benefitted from chivalry aka “benign sexism”. Though of course this doesn’t stop her whining. Though the law is supposedly not “gendered” on this in fact if there are children or indeed the wife has been “stay at home” the men get fleeced still.
