An interesting piece in the Daily Record, a Scottish newspaper, although it contains some content along the following lines, which would be unthinkable with respect to male teachers having sex with schoolgirls:
“Andrea Darling, a researcher at the criminology department at Durham University, studies women in positions of trust who sexually abuse children… [J4MB: she wrote the following]
“Generally women involved in this type of teacher-pupil case do not fit the mould of what many consider a ‘predatory paedophile’, in that unlike other sex offenders they do not specifically enter their professions to access children. Instead my research has found that many (though not all) of these women appear to abuse because of their own unmet intimacy needs resulting from relationship problems and feelings of loneliness for example. [J4MB: Got it. The women are victims.]
“These women are also different from other female sex offenders in that they are generally older, more affluent, have better social skills and less issues with substance abuse. Their behaviour is also to some extent influenced by the very situations they are working in.” [J4MB: Their behaviour is influenced by being in proximity with children? Also a defence for male teachers?]
Many will feel that women teachers should be judged in exactly the same way a male offender would be – as motivated by twisted sexual gratification.”

Yes there is always an excuse. This from Lily Allen gives an example of the entirely gynocentric nature of our society . Lily Allen says she ‘doesn’t think Baby Reindeer would be green-lit if the protagonist was female’ as she opens up about her own stalking ordeal | Daily Mail Online
I just had a quick search for dramas about stalking. And found 7 such dramas where the victim is female including three on the nation’s favourite “soaps” Coronation St. Eastenders and Hollyoaks. This quite apart from numerous prgrammes on “true crime” stations. So clearly the attention for Baby Reindeer is at least partly the rarity value of the male victimization in Dramas!
