GB News: Kemi Badenoch’s fight against ‘ineffective’ diversity schemes reveals an uncomfortable truth for Sunak

I subscribe to GB News, and urge followers of this blog to do likewise. The channel has long sustained heavy losses because of an advertiser boycott driven by progressive activists.

An interesting piece, an extract:

“Badenoch, who came out in full support of the Prime Minister and called for an end to speculation about ‘existential issues’ in the Tory Party, instead appeared to be diligently working on her own brief.

Yesterday, the Business Secretary came out all guns blazing against Britain’s attempted diversity drive, saying it has been ‘counterproductive’ and ‘ineffective’. She warned that inclusion policies must not come at the expense of white men.

A report, commissioned by Badenoch herself, claimed that the majority of spending on equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) was a waste of money. It urges bosses to take into account disadvantages faced by the white working classes when modelling EDI schemes, warning against over-emphasising ‘visible’ quotas. [J4MB: This is disingenuous. As Minister for Women and Equalities, Badenoch is central to the systemic privileging of women over men in general, over white men in particular.]

Badenoch, who also sits as Minister for Women and Equalities, slammed ‘snake oil’ diversity schemes, demanding that equality strategies continue to uphold ‘fairness and meritocracy’. She also attacked ‘performative gestures such as compulsory pronouns and rainbow lanyards’.”

Douglas Murray: “The police have given up on actual crime”

Yesterday I posted the following comments on an article by Douglas Murray in the latest edition of The Spectator, The police have given up on actual crime:

“Once again, no mention of the elephant in the room – the feminisation of professions.

Why has the GP service become such a disaster? Because most GPs are women, and most work only part-time, regardless of whether or not they have kids. Medical schools have been preferencing women over men for admission since the 1970s, when Dr Vernon Coleman revealed the matter, and correctly predicted where it would lead.

Why are children more poorly educated then they were 50 years ago? Because then most teachers were men, but for many years most have been women. Even with assistants (invariably women) they manage to educate kids less well than single male teachers 50 years ago.

And now the police. An ever-increasing proportion are female, with inevitable and utterly predictable results.

The comments have so far attracted 22 upvotes and only one downvote.
