Felix Klieser

[Update 16:30 – Fanny Mendelssohn makes her entrance…] I’ve been listening to a Mozart horn concerto on BBC Radio 3. No mentions so far today of the transatlantic slave trade, Samuel Coleridge-Taylor, Fanny Mendelssohn or Clara Schumann, but the day is young. The horn player on the recording is the remarkable Felix Klieser, a German professional player of the French horn. He was born without arms, and plays the horn by using the toes of his left foot to operate the valves.
