Just published. This was a scandalous miscarriage of justice on numerous counts. He served an extra 10 years in prison after refusing to “admit” his guilt.

  1. What a man! Thats a real man right there, because he’s still controlled enough to see it from everyone’s point of view, and not just his own. If it were me, I’d’ve been wallowing in self pity. But this man sees how the system let both him and the rape victim down. It let everyone down. The vicitm’s families. His family. Etc. He sounds like both a protector, and someone who knows how to stick up for himself.

It is chilling when put in the context of the scandal in 2017/18 when a ministry of justice report and the Criminal Bar Association both estimated a quarter of rape and sexual assault convictions were “unsound” because of Police and CPS illegal and sharp practice concealing evidence from the courts (and therefore the defense). The truth is the defendant faces the full power of the Police and CPS and faces a long period in prison and even longer on a “register”.
    One would hope that this would cause some of those in Parliament to think again as they discuss measures to hobble the defense in Rape or Sexual assault cases by hiding evidence . Of course there are the usual sympathetic statements for the victim. But as this poor man recounts the consequences for him have been truly appaling. As he points out men don’t “condone” rape as feminists claim, sex offenders are marked out as targets by the other prisoners.
    As Kate Green is a feminist I think it’s safe to say she didn’t believe what she said and wont be taking any action to of any sort in GMP.
