Comedy on Netflix

I’ve long been a comedy addict, one of the reasons I launched Laughing at Feminists and its comedy channel (currently 154 videos). When you spend your life challenging feminism and feminists, you need some light relief. Netflix is a great streaming service for comedy. I recently (re)joined it, taking out the month-by-month £4.99pcm subscription. I wasn’t willing to pay the premium for the ad-free subscription, and the ads aren’t excessive. I’ve recently enjoyed on Netflix:
  • a 2022 Netflix Special, Bill Burr at Red Rocks, Colorado, in which he talks about women in general, feminists and lesbians in particular, the official trailer is here (1:21).
  • The three series of the Netflix-commissioned After Life, written and produced by Ricky Gervais, the lead actor in the series. An outstanding series, I can’t think of any black comedy-drama to compare it with.
  • Cunk on Earth, a BBC mockumentary.
Diane Morgan plays Philomena Cunk, the lead character in Cunk on Earth. A few months ago she was interviewed in New York, Diane Morgan Talks Cunk on Earth, Finding History Boring and Why She Hates Stand-Up (9:09). Enjoy.
