Over 300 female troops evacuated from war zones after discovering they’re pregnant

Our thanks to Jeff for this. The start of the piece:
HUNDREDS of female troops have been evacuated from war zones after discovering they were pregnant, The Sun can reveal. More than 300 pregnant female service personnel had to be flown home from IraqAfghanistanCyprus and the Gulf, according to government documents. The figures obtained in a Freedom of Information request also show that 54 women had to be airlifted from Royal Navy ships or flown home from foreign ports after discovering they were pregnant at sea.
There should be no place for women in the military. To suggest otherwise is to pander to women’s narcissism at the expense of operational efficiency and effectiveness. If the military were all-male it would help reduce male unemployment, which has long been higher than female unemployment.

You Don’t Have To Be A Tradwife To Fight In The Culture War (but it does require becoming a radical, unapologetic anti-feminist)

An interesting piece in The Federalist, focusing on Peachey Keenan’s book Domestic Extremist: A Practical Guide to Winning the Culture War.

Hairdresser, 54, ‘stabbed her husband, 54, through the heart with kitchen knife three days after Christmas while she was preparing supper at their home’

Our thanks to Nigel for this. He writes:
It really is as though there’s a training women have, to stab the heart. Time after time they appear very capable murderers. As usual I expect the conveniently dead man will somehow be at least partly responsible for his own death, the oppressive patriarch.

Mother jailed for taking abortion pills after legal limit

Our thanks to Helen for this. Being a BBC piece, commentary on the judgement is sourced only from those keen for women to have no punishment for killing their unborn children, regardless of circumstances. The 44-year-old women informed BPAS that she was seven weeks pregnant and received abortion drugs. In fact she was 32-34 weeks pregnant. An extract:

Labour MP Stella Creasy called for “urgent reform”.

“The average prison sentence for a violent offence in England is 18 months,” she said in a tweet.

“A woman who had an abortion without following correct procedures [J4MB emphasis: breaking the law is now ‘without following correct procedures’] just got 28 months under an 1868 act – we need urgent reform to make safe access for all women in England, Scotland and Wales a human right.”

CHINA: Man gets sued after leaving his blind date and her 23 relatives at restaurant

Our thanks to Gerry for this gem. An extract:
Liu [J4MB: the man] agreed only to reimburse a fraction of the total cost [J4MB: $2,812], offering 4,000 yuan (approximately $562), forcing Zhang to ask her relatives to pay for their share of the total bill.
A day in court: Angered by Liu’s offer, Zhang’s family decided to take the matter to court, filing a lawsuit against Liu to force him to pay up.
The court, however, ruled in Liu’s favor, stating that he should only cover the cost of his own and Zhang’s meal, which was approximately 1,400 yuan (approximately $197).
One of the comments:
This is common in Asia. My brother in law was on a date in Vietnam there were 20 people in the restaurant, when he went to leave they handed him a bill for the whole place. She had invited her friends and family but never mentioned it! And it was her family’s restaurant.
