Needless to say, large numbers of pregnant women will claim to be smokers to get the shopping vouchers and vape starter kits. Why is the government not bribing pregnant women to stop harming their unborn children with alcohol and other drugs? Women face no punishment for inflicting often permanent physical and mental harm on their unborn children though smoking, drinking etc. It’s a matter we cover in our manifesto (pp.28-30).
