“Whilst men are stereotypically the perpetrators of domestic abuse against girls and women, [J4MB emphasis – the stereotype is patently untrue, and has been known to be untrue for decades, why not write THAT?] we must ensure in policing we do see the less visible side of these horrific crimes where men are also victims, and always investigate thoroughly and effectively for anyone who is a victim of abuse by a partner.

Barr was jailed for three years and nine months.

Researching Kirsty Barr to find she was given a three year sentence.
https://thelincolnite.co.uk/2022/12/rewind-women-jailed-in-lincolnshire-in-2022/ There is quite a list of women committing heinous crimes in Lincolnshire in 2022. The scary part of the Kirsty Barr story is the immense damage done to her former partner in a 4 year campaign. Months imprisonment, arrests and time in police cells, a full armed response unit !, as well as her social media and mainstream media appearances accusing him very publicly. And of course being unable to see his daughter because of the swirl of suspicion. Not only is the sentence derisory but there is no recognition of the way public services the police, magistrates and family courts as well as no doubt child welfare services. All acted to victimize this man, dancing to Kirsty Barr’s tune. As you say the victim here supposed to chalk up to experience this devastation of his life. The wrong sort of victim.
