Dr Bateman has a new book to promote, Naked Feminism: Breaking the Cult of Female Modesty, an interview with her in the Mail here. The only sense in which female modesty is a ‘cult’ is in the sense it’s uncommon, particularly among younger women. I expect she’ll complain soon about being sexually harrassed when she turns up naked to events.

In the tradition of eccentric toffs. However in general its actually males who are and have been “policed”. It is after all males who get done for “indecent exposure”, the erect penis that is treated as an offensive weapon and that can apparently be a sexual assault merely by its revelation. Again transpose the the sex of doing an interview naked, there’d be far more backlash. And the childish “horsing around” by John Barrowman practically ended his career years after the events. The reality is that it is male nudity that gets policed, by the Police, far more often.
