Mary Harrington: Why women should stop taking the pill

Interesting. But why is there a deeply misandrous cartoon at the top of the piece?

  1. It’s interesting isn’t it. The general pattern is for feminists of every hue to regret the sexual revolution and “liberation” though most show this through a determination to contain the beast (aka boys and men) through ever more restrictive ideas of “consent” and claims of toxicity. The novel idea from Harrington is that women themselves have a responsibility to roll back the “liberation” that almost all feminists seem to regret. It is a change from the general idea to terrify boys and men into sexual continence through demonisation.
