Whatever the outcomes the progress will generate some publicity and keep alive this issue.I’m pleased to see this man fighting back. Particularly as the other victims of this woman are just the sort of “glass cellar” young men who no one is likely to care about or have the resources to get any form of redress. The case will highlight the false accusations are not “victimless” crimes. From damage to homes, through death threats and assaults to “celebrities” adding to the campaign all the negative effects of being publicly named are very clear in this case. Whatever the outcomes the progress will generate some publicity and keep alive this issue.
Its interesting that the comments in the DM generally miss the point. He’s not suing about the investigation, but that he was left to fend for himself when assaulted, threatened with death (and his family), and vilified through social media. Now reverse the sexes and you can see that even hurty words against a woman on social media are investigated by Police. In other words he is fighting the assumption that somehow its OK for a whole lot of shit is dropped on an accused man. Think of the destruction of so many men, found innocent in court, but already branded in public and always “suspect” in their community.
