  1. “And a large minority of the British public – two in five (43%) people – say we have gone so far in promoting women’s equality that we are discriminating against men. A majority of men (53%) agree with this view, as well as a third of women (33%)”
And it is interesting that the younger the age cohort the more likely there is a commitment to “gender equality” yet recognition that there is discrimination against men. The authors clearly equate “gender equality” with the traditional interpretation as this meaning more “rights” for women. Maybe the younger generation, particularly young men, are simply becoming more aware that what is on offer to them is in fact not equality! It is the older “boomer” generation of men, no doubt reflecting chivalry who still think equality means raising women on a pedestal.

  2. Also interesting is the claim about Britons being scared to speak out. Which is given the speculative spin that this must be due to “misogyny” whipped up by right wingers. Yet of course in fact the post public and vicious campaigning, silencing and cancelling is in fact between two branches of feminism, the TERFs and Trans. This latter would account for the otherwise contradictory finding that far more young people call themselves “feminists” yet they are the most afraid to “speak out”. As far as I’m aware there have been no cancellings dished out by MRAs or Right wingers, while we have been entertained for a few years now as the two warring factions of feminism protest, cancel, shout and scream at each other.

  3. As an interesting thing to note, given the excellent speakers at ICMI from the sub-continent. Over 70% of respondents in India believe steps to “Gender equality” now result in discrimination against men.
