Hot on the heels of your helpful exchange about Domestic Abuse comes this example of the abuse of the law, by the police and CPS in pursuing a case based simply on believing the woman is a victim without any evidence. Imagine a father had disappeared with two children. I doubt anyone would consider for a moment it abuse for the mother to seek to find where they had gone. I also notice the sheer triviality of the supposed abusive behaviour, even if it were true. Thank goodness the Bench dismissed this, seeing through “emotive” evidence and sticking to the facts of the case.
