At a time of heightened international tension, and apparently NATO has more confidence in pacifistic German military leadership than the UK  because we have such tiny land forces. It is a measure of our decadence that rather than pull out all the stops to recruit from the districts which have always supplied recruits and have traditions of service we waste money on virtue signaling (which have been signally unsuccessful in actually recruiting ). The RAF exemplifying this by rejecting 160 recruits just because they were white males. Presumably happy that the few diversity recruits become a bigger percentage of the total cohort by dispensing with the biggest group. But of course this means recruiting many fewer than required. Thus meaning the diversity quotas effectively condemn the forces to be under strength and therefore puts us all in danger.

On the point of rights the RAF has attempted to act illegally by simply excluding white men from taking the aptitude tests in their recruitment process. Their rationale being that white men typically do much better than the required diversity groups.So quite apart from the illegality; the logic of deliberately excluding those experience shows you to be likely most suitable, sounds like insanity if your aim should be to get the best folk to defend this nation! And if you are chronically under manned, what insanity to turn away good candidates! In a further report the RAF appears to have been doing the same in promotions. We should all worry that the same disregard for providing the best defense for us all has infected the Army and Navy.

Those 160 young white men have the legal right to have taken those tests, a reminder to us all that much oof the recruitment practices of public services and large corporation are in fact illegal. And we all have the right to expect our most vital services  are concentrating on the threats we may face and doing their best to be prepared.
