Redefining rape – you can’t take the penis out of rape law

In April 2021 I was in a frustrating discussion with the feminist Jean Hatchet for GB News, Is it time for a MInister for Men? (video, 13:42). Whilst the woman was as mad as a March hare, obviously, I was disappointed to find her attractive, thereby making it impossible for me to employ one of my favourite phrases, “hatchet-faced feminist”.

A piece by Ms Hatchet for The Critic, one of many progressive cat litter liners which publish pieces by the likes of Julie Bindel. While it’s good to see Ms Hatchet attacking the odious barrister Charlotte Proudman (how the harpy must hate her surname!), her piece includes this:

Many women are of the opinion that the trans activist movement is a men’s rights movement.

These “many women” are all feminists of course, and blithering idiots. But I repeat myself. I am unaware of any MRAs globally who are trans activists, prominent or otherwise. The notion that MRAs would ever ally with Charlotte Proudman on anything is a conspiracy theory as ridiculous as the “patriarchy”.

Eagle-eyed followers may note that the photograph of Ms Hatchet associated with her article was taken when she was much younger. I expect the “patriarchy” forced her to use an old photograph in order to satisfy objectifying  heteronormative societal expectations of women’s worth… or something. It certainly would have nothing to do with personal vanity.

The first woman to…

Watching the England v Senegal match – 3:0 with 33 minutes to go – and the commentator simply had to remark that the uniformed woman running up and down the opposite touchline was the first woman to… I don’t know what, because I zoned out at that point. I recently adopted a policy of completing any sentence that includes the words, “the first woman to…” with the words:

… the first woman to stick a daffodil up her nose whilst singing, “I’m forever blowing bubbles”

You must do what you can to remain sane…

‘Feminists can’t tell us what to do with our bodies’: Sex workers fight council strip club ban in Edinburgh

Our thanks to Steve for this on Sky News. An extract:

However, for those campaigning for the ban of strip clubs, they say the choice to do this work shouldn’t be available.

Former Labour councillor and writer and hatchet-faced harridan Susan Dalgety believes the council’s decision is right for women.

“As a feminist, I think that men paying us for sexual favours is the worst kind of exploitation of our bodies,” she said. [J4MB: What’s the best kind?]

“And it is the epitome of the non-existent patriarchy that men are much more powerful in society than women, and that all we are there for is either to reproduce the next generation or for the sexual entertainment of men.

“All Edinburgh is doing is saying that in our city we do not want to legitimise sexual entertainment. It’s living pornography.

“It is young women taking their clothes off and dancing sexually for the pleasure of men.”

I may have inserted a few words there, some mansplaining was required.

Men taking pleasure from something women choose to do? It must be banned.

UNITED STATES: Men’s group treated abysmally by Jill Irving Bishop, centre director

Our thanks to Ken for this, which relates to the Council on Aging Senior Center in Falmouth, Cape Cod, Massachusetts. Jill Irving Bishop (seniorcenter@falmouthma.gov) is the senior centre director, Paul Plasinski the men’s group leader. Long story short, another men’s group treated abysmally by one or more women. An extract from the article:

Ms. Bishop told the Enterprise last week it is most appropriate if the men’s group speakers focus on men’s issues, while speakers of a general interest should speak at Coffee and Conservation, which is open to all the center’s members, men and women.

“She wants our suggestions for guest speakers in advance,” Mr. Plisinski told the group at the library. “She says that speakers they ‘deem appropriate’ will be approved.” [J4MB emphasis – hopefully Mr. Plisinski will tell the passive-aggressive Ms. Bishop to take a long walk off a short pier.]

This generated a lively discussion of privacy, free speech and control over their choices. When contacted yesterday, Thursday, December 1, Ms. Bishop was not immediately available for comment.

Several men called for a complete rejection of the three options, saying they should create a counterproposal.

“We need a third option where we take the best ideas from their proposals and put them with our ideas about what we want,” Randy Johnson said.

That was met with several men suggesting they simply say no.

Press release – Lesbians and children put at risk of injury or death by the refusal of UN Women to acknowledge female-perpetrated violence

The following is the main content of a press release sent to a considerable number of UK-based journalists this morning, the overwhelming majority of whom opened it. It takes up the remainder of this blog piece:

LONDON / December 2, 2022 – UN Women recently launched its annual “16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence.” (1) But the campaign is avoiding mention of female-perpetrated violence, of domestic violence within lesbian couples, and violence from lesbians against their children.

Mike Buchanan, leader of the political party Justice for Men & Boys, said this:

“It has long been known that violence is more common in lesbian relationships than in heterosexual relationships. A woman is markedly more likely to be the victim of violence from a female partner than from a male partner.

The refusal of UN Women to acknowledge female-perpetrated violence also puts children at risk of injury or death. This is true for the children of both lesbian couples and heterosexual couples.

It has been known for DECADES that when it comes to intimate relationships, women are at least as violent as men. Indeed, the largest ever international review of the subject, the Patner Abuse State of Knowledge project (PASK13), found that violence was bi-directional in the majority of (heterosexual) couples in which there was violence. But in the significant minority of (heterosexual) couples where the violence was always uni-directional, the perpetrator was slightly more than twice as likely to be the woman as the man.

The narrative that domestic violence is a gender-based phenomenon – with women the overwhelming majority of victims, men the overwhelming majority of perpetrators – is a long-discredited lie, a decades-old hoax perpetrated by many organizations including UN Women and women’s charities in the UK.”

Three incidents illustrate the threat:

  1. Yvonne Wu of New York City discovered her ex-girlfriend cavorting with her new love interest. Wu allegedly opened fire, shooting Li in the chest and mortally wounding the new girlfriend. Wu was arrested and charged with murder (2).
  2. Brittney Taylor attacked her girlfriend, causing multiple injuries to her face and head. Taylor was arrested for misdemeanor domestic violence assault (3).
  3. Two weeks ago, April Wright and Rachel Wright pled guilty to repeatedly punching a 10 year-old boy, dislocating his neck bones and causing his death. Prosecutors noted the child had been “repeatedly isolated and tortured” by the lesbian couple (4).

These are not isolated incidents. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control reports that same-sex female couples have substantially higher lifetime victimization rates than same-sex male couples for domestic violence, rape, and/or stalking (5):

  • Lesbian: 44%
  • Gay: 26%

In Australia, a survey of over 5,400 LGBTIQ persons reported similar findings. The national survey found 41% of female respondents and 28% of male respondents reported having been in a relationship in which the partner was abusive (6).

Concerns for the safety of lesbian women recently have been expressed in Georgia (7), Malawi (8), and South Africa (9), as well.

Domestic violence can be prevented, but government officials need to end the shroud of silence that envelopes female-perpetrated abuse. The Domestic Abuse and Violence International Alliance (10) calls on the United Nations and on Member Nations to assure that all forms of domestic violence, regardless of the sex of the perpetrator, are recognized and addressed.
