A miscarriage of justice? Interview of Sean Bw Parker, convicted during #MeToo.

We’ve just published this (video, 41:13) on our YouTube channel.

Sean Bw Parker was convicted in 2018 on one count of category 2 ‘friend rape’, bundled with a conviction of sexual assault for what was seen in court (in CCTV footage) to be a kiss – which was given a No Further Action (NFA) at the time, but for which he received an extra three months on his sentence. He covers the latter issue in the video, from 16:07.

This ‘joindering’ of two disparate cases was the modus operandum of the Crown Prosecution Service at the time. The head of the CPS was Alison Saunders, Director of Public Prosecutions. She later resigned following widespread criticisms of her term in office.

Our background document on rape and sexual assault is here. None of the content should be taken to relate specifically to Sean’s case.

Sean is a writer and much more. His Amazon Author page is here, his account of his case, Why are the Criminal Cases Review Commission (CCRC) unwilling to investigate my conviction for a rape that never happened? here.
