Enjoy (video, 3:08).
I’m greatly enjoying William Collins’s latest book, The Destructivists. On p.140, in chapter 25, “The Destruction of Truths: Postmodernism and Critical Theory”:
In this brief introduction I will not attempt to name check except where direct quotes are used. The cast is voluminous. The original postmodernists include Michel Foucault, Jacques Derrida, Jean-Franҫois Lyotard, and, to a lesser degree, Gilles Deleuze (I can’t resist quoting the ever-naughty David Starkey at this point: “everything bad comes from France”…)
True, but so many good things too. Foie gras, Château Margaux, bœuf à la Bourguignonne, Brigitte Bardot… as a firm Francophile, my list is endless.
