Philipp Tanzer, ex-porn actor, will stand in Scottish elections for Holyrood

Philipp Tanzer is a thoroughly nice bloke – a German who has made his home in a remote part of Scotland – and he’s probably the only ex-porn actor I’ve ever met, or ever will. He came to the 2018 (London) ICMI as well as the 2019 (Chicago) ICMI and submitted a video for ICMI20. He’ll hopefully do another, and maybe have a Q&A, for ICMI21.

A piece in today’s Times:

A German former gay porn star who is now a community linchpin is standing as the Scottish Family Party’s regional list candidate for the Highlands and Islands in the May Holyrood election.

Philipp Tanzer, 43, a former fireman in Durness, Sutherland, as well as an artist, hairdresser and massage therapist, raises awareness of the negative effects pornography can have on both children and adults. He is a popular figure in the most northwesterly village on mainland Britain, which has a population of 350.

“In one year I lost five friends in the industry to suicide and drug overdoses. I have seen the harm porn addiction can do,” he said.

“Not all my experiences with it have been negative though — I met some wonderful people. One of the main reasons to run for the Scottish Family Party has been my experience and helping people learn from it.

“Porn is not a men’s problem. Both boys and girls consume pornography and both suffer under its impact. When I was younger I was not clear what path I would take. I was pushed into identifying myself as something at the age of 32 that I was not.”

Tanzer said he was now in a relationship with a woman and had started the conservation about “marriage and starting a family”.

“The Scottish Family Party best represent my views on life and society,” he said.

Tanzer, who moved to Durness in 2012, also runs the Durness Highland Halloween Festival.

Under the name of Logan McCree he won industry awards as a porn actor, with such credits as Porn Stars in LoveHotter than Hell 2 and Rear Deliveries to his name.

He said locals knew about his past in the sex industry.

Tanzer, who has background as a medic in the German military, said at the time of his arrival: “Everyone in Durness has heard about it. But I really try and help in the community as much as I can and people are very grateful.”

Former Edinburgh MSP says mother admitted daughter ‘lied’ about being gang raped by ‘Fernieside three’ who were each jailed for 6 years in 2000

Our thanks to Johnny for this in today’s Edinburgh News:

A former politician claims a mother admitted to him that her daughter lied about being gang raped in Edinburgh by three men who were given six year jail terms for the crime.

Mike Pringle, who served for eight years as Lib Dem MSP for Edinburgh South, believes David Pugh, Kevin Kane and Brian Meighan – known as the “Fernieside Three” – are innocent and have suffered a miscarriage of justice.

In 2000, the trio were found guilty of detaining a woman against her will and raping her in a tower block in the south of the city in November 1999. The Crown Office relied on evidence from a police casualty surgeon in respect of injuries to the complainer.

The three men denied the offence and claimed the 21-year-old woman had consented to group sex. They have always maintained their innocence. In January, the Scottish Criminal Cases Review Commission (SCCRC) referred all three applicants’ convictions to the High Court for an appeal in light of fresh evidence arising from developments in medical science. This consists of three expert reports which will be used to claim there was no evidential basis for the forensic examiner to conclude at trial they did not have consensual sex.

Speaking to the Edinburgh Evening News, Mr Pringle revealed that he met the young woman’s parents at their home in the south of the city around 2004, after visiting his constituent David Pugh in prison to hear of his concerns about the conviction.

Mr Pringle said the complainer’s father initially answered the door and was reluctant to talk but that her mother invited him in and he was shown into the lounge. He explained he was there to talk about the convictions because the three men were adamant it was consensual.

Mr Pringle said: “She said ‘I think that is right.’”

She said she told him that her daughter said it “had been consensual,” adding: “I said ‘why not go to court and give evidence on their behalf?’ and she said she could not because of her grandchildren. She said ‘if I gave evidence against my daughter, her partner would stop me ever seeing my grandchildren again.’”

Mr Pringle continued: “I spent a bit of time trying to persuade her and saying that these are three young men sentenced to six years in prison and that it will ruin their lives.

“We talked about the subject for a good half hour. The father never said a word. She said ‘I know that but that’s not my problem.’ She said I need to continue to see my grandchildren. I realised I was getting nowhere and thanked her and said I understand where you are coming from and the man showed me out.”

Mr Pringle said it was unclear why, if her daughter had said to her mother it was consensual, she went ahead with the accusation – but he suspects someone persuaded her to claim criminal compensation.

Other friends of the complainer have previously made similar claims about the rape allegation being made up.

Mr Pringle said when he visited David Pugh in prison he saw he was “absolutely determined” to prove his innocence.

He said: “It’s the only miscarriage of justice I have ever come across.

“It was only after I met the woman’s mother that I believed these guys were absolutely innocent.”

The three men were each sentenced to six years in jail following conviction and released on licence in 2004. Initial appeals were refused in June 2002, and in 2004 the SCCRS refused to consider referring their cases back to the High Court.

They also called for a judicial review to challenge the commission’s refusal and this was turned down in July 2006.

In April 2019, David Pugh applied again to the commission in relation to the fresh evidence from the three experts which refuted the opinion evidence given by the forensic medical examiner at trial.

Given the grounds to be reviewed were common to the co-accused, Meighan and Kane, they also applied to have their convictions reviewed in September 2020.

One of the expert reports being used is from forensic pathologist Birgitte Schmidt Astrup, associate professor at the Institute of Forensic Medicine at the University of Southern Denmark, who published a study in 2012 suggesting vaginal injuries are just as common after voluntary sex as they are in rapes.

The SCCRC said previously it considers the fresh evidence now available is of a “kind and quality” which was likely to have been of “material assistance” to the jury in its consideration of the critical issue of consent, and there “may have been a miscarraige of justice.”

A substantive appeal date has not yet been confirmed but a procedural hearing is due to take place later in April.

‘Lured’ into flat

The High Court in Edinburgh was told the woman was lured into a 14th floor flat in Little France House in November 1999. She told the court that she had been looking for a friend in Craigour Place at the time.

When outside she called for her friend but got no reply and said she heard someone from the block of flats ask who she was looking for. The woman said she was told the friend she was seeking was in the flat where she found three strangers – Meighan, Kane and Pugh.

The woman said she was worried after they got into a conversation about sex and tried to leave but was pushed into the bedroom and attacked.

The three men claimed the woman was allowed to alter her 14-page police statement regarding where the attack was said to have taken place, changing it from the stairwell of a high-rise to one of the accused’s flats.

The men – aged 19, 23 and 24 at the time – also claimed police officers failed to test the woman for drug use and tried to suppress CCTV evidence.

They insist the woman consented to group sex, and twice turned down the chance of parole by refusing to change their pleas to guilty.

Domestic violence

We’re engaged in a minor modification to this website, removing and adding some tabs on the “menu” just below the header image. We’re about to put up a new tab on domestic violence, the content of which is below:

There are few areas where feminist propaganda and lies have so clearly been in evidence for decades, as domestic violence. In 1971 Erin Pizzey – herself a victim of domestic violence – opened the doors to the first refuge in the world for battered women and their children, in Chiswick, London. Not long afterwards she started to reveal publicly what had become apparent to her, that most of the women were as violent as (or more violent than) their partners.

50 years on, the media continue to promulgate the big myth about domestic violence – that the overwhelming majority of the victims are women, and the overwhelming majority of perpetrators are men. The myth is promulgated by highly profitable organizations in the domestic violence industry, which corrupt government.

Government policies and support for feminist organizations in the domestic violence industry have for decades been based on the big myth. Decade after decade, the government refuses to engage with researchers who could tell them the truths about domestic violence. The mainstream media refuse to hold the feminist liars in the domestic violence industry, and the government, to account.

In our 2015 manifesto (pp. 26-30) we covered the issue of domestic violence. Anybody wanting an overview of the issues should order a copy of William Collins’s The Empathy Gap: Male Disadvantages and the Mechanisms of Their Neglect published by LPS publishing (2019) – pp.253-79. The lengthy book is a tour de force and covers many other issues of interest to those concerned with men’s and boys’ issues.

The Partner Abuse State of Knowledge Project (PASK) was published in May 2013 in the journal Partner Abuse and is the most comprehensive review of domestic violence research ever carried out. This unparallelled three-year research project was conducted by 42 scholars at 20 universities and research centres. The headline finding of the PASK review was that:

Men and women perpetrate physical and non-physical forms of abuse at comparable rates, most domestic violence is mutual, women are as controlling as men, domestic violence by men and women is correlated with essentially the same risk factors, and male and female perpetrators are motivated for similar reasons.

A key numerical result from the PASK review was:

Among large population samples, 57.9% of intimate-partner violence (IPV) reported was bi-directional, 42.1% unidirectional, 13.8% of the unidirectional violence was male-to-female, 28.3% was female-to-male.

The last point is worth emphasising. In the 42.1% of (heterosexual) couples in which one partner is always the perpetrator and the other the victim, the woman is TWICE as likely to be the perpetrator and (therefore) half as likely to be the victim.

In June 2020 we hosted the (online) first National Conference on Men’s Issues, Domestic Abuse is a Men’s Issue, Too. The keynote speaker was Professor Nicola Graham-Kevan. There are many researchers in the area of domestic abuse who could tell the government what is known about the subject, but successive governments have chosen instead to be guided by (and to fund handsomely) feminist organizations with zero interest in female perpetrators and male victims. Those who are ignored include not only men but lesbians, a group with a higher incidence of domestic violence than heterosexual couples. A woman is more likely to suffer at the hands of a female partner than a male partner.

The J4MB YouTube channel has a playlist with 90+ video and audio files relating to domestic abuse.

Finally, we turn to the media. For 50 years the global mainstream media has promulgated feminist propaganda and lies about domestic violence. In the spring of 2021 we approached The Spectator with a view to funding a full-page advert relating some long-established truths about domestic violence, and pointing to many other issues affecting men and boys. The paper’s (female) managing editor refused to run the advert, and refused to respond to a three-page-long document from Mike Buchanan on the matter. The document included details of feminist lies and propaganda and noted the 50+ articles by Julie Bindle, a vile lesbian radical feminist, and articles by two other feminists, Sarah Ditum and Isabel Hardman, assistant editor. Details on the matter along with the proposed advert content here.
