We’ve been aware of this wonderful and potentially game-changing development for some weeks, but we were asked to not say anything about it until today. We echo Collins’s congratulations to Mike Bell for playing a central role in bringing this about.
It’s not stated in his blog piece, but the estimable Philip Davies is a member of the new APPG. It is notable that on the APPG there are seven Tory MPs, no Labour MPs, no LibDem MPs, and only one SNP MP. All three men on the Women & Equalities Committee (including Ben Bradley) are Tory MPs. The Tories are (at last!) opening up some clear blue water compared with the other parliamentary parties with respect to recognising issues affecting men and boys. This is going to get very interesting, hopefully sooner rather than later. I predict the Tories will reap an electoral dividend from this direction of travel, hopefully enabling them to win the next general election.
