Our thanks to Steve for this. Part-time and job-sharing and flexible-working senior managers. How could that possibly impact on a company’s efficiency? Two women doing one man’s job has of course been the norm in the education system for decades. Before the feminisation of the teaching profession, single men educated children to a much higher standard than two women (a teacher and an assistant) can manage today, and at less cost. It’s a matter I covered in my ICMI speech, which is getting good feedback on Paul Elam’s dedicated ICMI playlist (his website has 103,000+ subscribers, a few more than J4MB).
Elizabeth’s speech will be published at 11pm tonight, Janice Fiamengo’s speech at midnight, then the conference is over for another year. I’m looking forward to the longest sleep I’ve had in weeks, as are Elizabeth Hobson and Tom Caulfield, I’m sure.
