Is misogyny about to be made into a hate crime? Legal advisors say offences motivated by hatred of women should be punishable by seven years in jail.

Our thanks to Mike P for this. Extracts:

Misogyny should be made a hate crime punishable by up to seven years in jail, Government legal advisers said yesterday.

The Law Commission said crimes should carry harsher punishments if they were committed by someone motivated by a hatred of women…

Criminal Law Commissioner Professor Penney Lewis said the proposals mean ‘women enjoy hate crime protection for the first time’.

Our thanks to James for this. An extract:

Holland was sentenced to 16 months for the blackmail and eight months for the fraud to run concurrently.

No penalty for the fraud, then.

Women on Boards – censorship of comments by “The Times”

Today’s edition of The Times included an article on women on boards. I posted three short pieces linking to the evidence of a causal link between more women on boards and corporate financial decline – the third was addressed to moderators – and all were removed very swiftly (or not published at all) by moderators. The first and third are here.

The evidence of the causal link is here. I am considering cancelling my subscription to The Times. We expect ideologically-driven censorship like this from The Guardian but not The Times, although The Times is resolutely uncritical of feminism and feminists, employing many feminist “journalists”.

CPS: Man jailed for fake DNA test to deny parentage of two sons

A piece on the CPS website. There are no pieces on the website about the hundreds of women who falsely claim every year that individual men are the parents of their children, where DNA tests prove otherwise. These women are committing crimes under the Fraud Act 2006, yet the CPS has never prosecuted a women for these frauds. in the area of attempted or actual paternity fraud it is always in the public interest to hold men to account, never to hold women to account.

Philip Davies MP urges the BBC to hire more people with different outlooks

Yes, it’s that man again, Philip Davies MP (C, Shipley), who has just got married to Esther McVey (C, Tatton), a former cabinet minister. This clip is an extract (10:10) from a podcast published yesterday by The Daily Telegraph, a discussion between Christopher Hope, the paper’s chief political correspondent, and Philip.

At 9:15 Philip gets to the heart of the matter about the BBC, in his usual inimitable style:

The BBC is spending £100 million, supposedly, on diversity. The only diversity the BBC needs is some people with different opinions who don’t have this metropolitan, left-wing, lentil-eating, sandal-wearing, beard-growing outlook. They need to get out more.

Mohammad Siddiqui, 54, charged with assaulting boys during circumcision procedures

Our thanks to Steve for this. The irony of the story will not be lost on followers of this website. Carrying out MGM is, of course, a criminal assault in itself.
