Disinformation & misconceptions (Women’s Aid and other lying organizations)

A tip of the hat to John James, a survivor of domestic abuse and the author of From The Darkness: A True Story (2018) for this video (13:30).

Coronavirus: Women can now kill their unborn children at home

Just announced by the government. Predictably, the BBC piece contains no commentary from organizations advocating for unborn children, only from organizations advocating for killing them, such as BPAS.

Caroline ffiske: For feminists, hell is caring for the family

An interesting piece just posted on TCW. I’ve left some comments correcting a feminist myth she fell for, on domestic violence.

Spring forward, fall back

At midnight, just over 11 hours ago, the clocks moved forward one hour, as we transitioned from GMT to BST, British Summer Time. BST will end on 25 October this year. As a boy I was taught the phrase “Spring forward, fall back”, to help me remember in which direction the clocks went at such times.

Priti Patel pledges to help vulnerable people stuck at home with domestic abusers during the lockdown after police chief reveals online child abuse has increased during the coronavirus crisis

Our thanks to Mike P for this piece in Mail Online. It’s good to see Priti Patel, Home Secretary, referring to vulnerable “people” rather than vulnerable women.

It’s known that in heterosexual couples where violence is uni-directional, the perpetrator is twice as likely to be the woman as the man, so the victim is twice as likely to be the man. What image does Mail Online see fit to put in the middle of its piece? A stock library photo of a cowering woman on the ground, with a man clenching a fist in the foreground. There’s a quote from a Women’s Aid spokeswoman, nothing from Mankind Initiative or other organizations supporting male victims of domestic violence.

On Point with Paul Elam (interview)

Paul Elam has just published this (video, 1:18:32). At 5:45 the British female interviewer (for The Family Advocates Team, an Australian organization) says the following, reading from a document:

There’s been a lot of criticism from feminist groups and even the general public about you, so why don’t we get this out in the open? Do you hate or have a great dislike for women?

I stopped watching the interview at that point, did some other things while my blood pressure returned to normal, and then continued watching. It’s well worth catching the whole thing.
